Albert Park Circuit is a street circuit around Albert Park Lake in Melbourne. A planned 1937 motorcycle race at the venue failed to proceed. The current layout was rebuilt for smoothness and opened in 1996, when it also became the home of the Formula One Australian Grand Prix. In 2022, turns 9 and 10 were removed and turn 13 reprofiled, widening overtaking zones and improving safety.
