It hosted the Australian motorcycle Grand Prix from 1991 to 1996 after the event left Phillip Island, and continues to host rounds of the Australian Superbike Championship, including the series' only night race as of 2025. It holds an FIM Class B license, making it the only Australian permanent circuit with both FIA Grade 2 and FIM Class B gradings.
