Oran Park Raceway operated near Narellan, New South Wales, from 1962 to 2010, designed by George Murray and Jack Allen. Its Grand Prix layout ran 2.625 km with 13 turns and a figure-eight section where the track crossed itself via a bridge. Jim Redman starred at the first motorcycle meeting in 1963. The Superbike World Championship visited in 1988 and 1989, with Mick Doohan sweeping both 1988 races on a Yamaha FZR750, and Peter Goddard and Michael Dowson taking 1989 heat wins. Riders criticised the concrete walls near turns 3, 4, 9 and 12 for offering little runoff. The final motorcycle meeting ran in November 2009.
