Nurburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany
The Nürburgring Nordschleife's old section dates from 1927, with the full lap measuring 20,832 meters when the modern GP track is bypassed. For motorcycles, British magazine Performance Bikes ran a testing feature here in 2007, with riders Dale Lomas and Brendan Keirle producing 28 published lap times on road-legal bikes fitted with Bridgestone BT002 Pro Race tyres. Because full-speed use of the main straight was restricted, their laps were timed bridge-to-gantry, a shorter 19.1 km stretch, running about 22 seconds quicker than a full circuit.
