Schleizer Dreieck in Thuringia is the oldest racing circuit in Germany, opened on 10 June 1923. Originally 7.631 km, it was shortened to 6.805 km in 1988 and to its current 3.805 km layout in 2004, with 44 m of elevation change. Used chiefly for motorcycle racing, it hosts the IDM Superbike Championship (2004-2019, 2021-2025) and has held the Sidecar World Championship (2004-2007, 2009-2013), the Cup of Peace and Friendship (1970-1990), and rounds of the International Road Racing Championship (2010-2012, 2017, 2023-2025).
