Balaton Park Circuit opened in May 2023 near Balatonfőkajár, Hungary. For 2025 motorcycle races, the layout was reconfigured to 4.075 km, with turns 6 and 7 changed to two doglegs, a chicane replacing the turn 11 dogleg, and tight turns 13 to 15 added to keep barriers further from the track. It debuted on the Superbike World Championship and Grand Prix motorcycle racing calendars in 2025, marking the first year since 1992 that the Hungarian round appeared in both series. Ahead of its debut rounds, mid-season testing in June and August 2025 featured MotoGP riders from Honda, Yamaha, KTM, Ducati and Aprilia, plus a Ducati test with Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
