Hungaroring
Mogyoród, Hungary
The Hungaroring is a 4.381 km circuit in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary, opened in 1986 with its first race held in memory of János Drapál, the first Hungarian motorcycle Grand Prix winner. It has hosted Grand Prix motorcycle racing in 1990 and 1992, the Superbike World Championship from 1988 to 1990, Sidecar World Championship rounds in 1990, 1997, 2005 and 2012, and Formula TT in 1987. The circuit is twisty and bumpy, nicknamed "Monaco without the barriers" for its difficult overtaking in dry conditions. Formula One first raced here in 1986.
