Pertamina Mandalika Street Circuit
Lombok, Indonesia
Mandalika International Street Circuit, on Lombok island, Indonesia, opened in late 2021 with Superbike World Championship and Asia Talent Cup rounds, followed by Grand Prix motorcycle racing in 2022. Its layout, first sketched by designer Mark Hughes, runs 4.301 km with 17 corners and uses Stone Mastic Asphalt for added tyre grip. After surface problems during the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test, repaving earned the track FIM grade A homologation. Riders including Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro noted its character despite few overtaking lines. The circuit has also hosted Supersport World Championship and Asia Road Racing Championship rounds, the latter marked by rider Haruki Noguchi's fatal 2023 crash.
