Circuit de Vila Real
Vila Real, Portugal
Circuito Internacional de Vila Real is a street circuit in Vila Real, Portugal, that has hosted both car and motorcycle racing. First laid out in 1931 at 7.37km, it was shortened to 6.925km in the 1950s before closing after a fatal accident in 1991. It reopened in 2007 on a reduced 4.785km layout that retains the original up-and-downhill section between turn 6 (Boque) and turn 19, giving the track significant elevation change. The circuit is considered demanding, with speeds up to 170km/h and barriers close to the racing line.
