Tarlton International Raceway is South Africa's premier drag racing strip, located outside Krugersdorp on the R24 Route. It officially opened in 1977, opened by Mick Van Rensburg, and is home to the Westinghouse Jet Cars. Since opening, it has hosted South African Drag Racing nationals and other drag racing events. The venue sits about 1,676 meters above sea level and was the filming location for the 1981 film Burning Rubber.
