Knockhill Racing Circuit
Dunfermline, United Kingdom
Knockhill Racing Circuit, Scotland's national motorsport centre in Fife, opened in September 1974 on a site formed from service roads and a former mineral railway. It is the only FIA-graded circuit in Scotland. The track hosts annual rounds of the British Superbike Championship along with other national motorbike and car series, and in 2012 became the first UK circuit in modern times licensed for both bikes and cars to race in either direction. Its layouts include a 9-corner International and 10-corner National configuration, with 37 m of elevation change.
