Pembrey Circuit was built on the former RAF Pembrey airfield near Pembrey village in Carmarthenshire, Wales, opening on 21 May 1989. The Port Talbot Motor Cycle Racing Club staged the earliest races there, and the circuit has since hosted British Superbike Championship rounds in 1990 and 1994, along with regular British Motorcycle Racing Club meetings. Its tarmac layout mixes fast sweeping corners with tight hairpins. The circuit is operated by the British Automobile Racing Club under a long-term lease from Carmarthenshire County Council.
