Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course
Indianapolis, Indiana, United States
This 3.925km infield road course at Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosted MotoGP motorcycle racing after Formula One departed. Designed by Kevin Forbes in 1992, the circuit opened in 2000 and first held the Formula One United States Grand Prix that year. The shorter layout introduced for IndyCar in 2014 mimics the motorcycle course's Snake Pit infield section, though it bypasses two of the tighter corners used by the bikes in favor of a single 90-degree right turn leading to pit entry.
